Mark Cunningham

Mark is a thought leader, entrepreneur, speaker, board member and advisor with more than 25 years’ experience in the software and technology industry.

He has been the CEO and Founder of four high growth startups all of which resulted in successful exits. He loves collaborating with smart, focused and passionate company founders in the areas of culture, team building, product and go-to-market strategies, seed and VC fund raising and M&A strategy Mark’s passion for solving problems with technology began in 1991, when his family business began building the world’s first Windows-based reporting tool, Crystal Reports. Crystal was acquired by Seagate and continued to grow to over 2,000 employees and was eventually acquired by Business Objects for $820M.

Since his time with Crystal Mark has launched three software companies including Symmetrics, Indicee and Stytch. Indicee, an analytics platform, was acquired by Dun & Bradstreet in 2014 where Mark became the Founder and President of the Dun & Bradstreet Cloud Innovation Center.

Stytch, a strategic spin-off of Dun & Bradstreet, and Symmetrics were both acquired by Calabrio / KKR in April 2017 to form a new high growth analytics division based in Vancouver.

Mark is equally experienced raising capital as he is setting up his companies up for successful exits. Having raised tens of millions via both venture and strategic financing channels he has been able to turn these investments into new strategic divisions for the acquiring companies that have gone on to create thousands of jobs in Vancouver and across North America.
